Vegan Chocolate Phyllo Log

- 6 sheets of Phyllo

- Vegan butter

- 1/4 cup of cacao powder

- 2 Tablespoons of vanilla powder

- 1/4 cup of maple syrup

For Dusting

- 1/2 cup of powdered sugar

- 1 tablespoon of cacao powder

- 1 tablespoon of vanilla powder


To begin, cover the 6 sheets of phyllo pastry with a thin layer of vegan butter then layer them one on-top of the other. Next, you need to combine the cocoa powder and vanilla powder and special filling on top of the phyllo sheet. Once that is complete, add the chocolate chips and distribute them evenly across the phyllo sheet. Finally, drizzle maple syrup on-top of the filling and roll the pastry tightly like you would sushi or cinnamon rolls. Preheat the oven to 350°, then place a parchment paper on a cookie sheet and add the roll. Bake for 35 minutes on the middle rack. Let it cool and then slice into desired thickness. Now combine all of the ingredients for the dusting, and dust the slices and enjoy!
