Cactus Corn Tortillas

- 2 cups of Maseca brand ( corn meal flour)

- 1 cup of diced fresh clean cactus and

- 1/4 cup of water / blend until smooth

- 2/3 of warm water

- 1 Tablespoon of sea salt


Let's begin by combining all of the wet ingredients in a small bowl. In a larger bowl add the maseca and then combine with the wet ingredients. Knead the dough until it is incorporate, you will have to add the additional water a little bit at a time. Continue kneading until the dough does not stick to your hands. To make the corn tortillas, press them in the tortilla press.
